COLOMBIAN EMERALDS · A PERSONAL STORY, MADE INTO JEWELLERY

KEEPING YOUR STORY BEAUTIFUL

A little care.
A lasting connection.

Know your stone, respect its setting and choose gentle care.

A gentle approach to emeralds

For emeralds, warm soapy water and gentle cleaning are the safer starting point described by GIA. Ask for instructions specific to the treatments and construction of your actual piece.

01

Avoid steam and ultrasonic cleaners

These methods can be risky for emeralds, especially when surface-reaching fractures have been filled.

02

Protect the stone and setting

Remove your jewellery for tasks that expose it to knocks or harsh products. Have a professional check a loose stone or damaged setting before wearing it again.

03

Keep pieces apart

Store jewellery separately to reduce rubbing and accidental contact. Ask about a suitable pouch or box for your piece.

04

Ask before repairing or cleaning

Share known treatment information with anyone handling the piece. Heat or unsuitable cleaning may affect fillers or other materials.
